What We Need

Codeword is looking for a Sr. Analyst to join the Insights and Analytics team. Reporting to the Director of Insights & Analytics, you'll also be a part of the greater strategy practice at CODEWORD, and partner with creative strategists on everything from hot takes of your favorite TV shows to creating user testing programs for one of the largest tech companies in the world, and regularly pitching to potential clients.

From the I&A team members:

"Hi there, we hope you’ll want to join us. LA, New York, Santa Fe… we’re open to you working from just about anywhere. Below is a wishlist, and one we don’t expect all candidates to fulfill, but should give you a sense of the work we do. We’re looking for people that can team up with Strategy to formulate opinions, support them, challenge them, bolster them up, blow them up, all with data, desk research and any other relevant information you can gather. Also just be pleasant and be your whole self here, focus on the work, and generally be solution oriented. A lot of the work is marketing performance measurement so it’s helpful if you’ve worked with some of the usual platforms like Google Analytics and any of the social listening tools… but we’ve found curiosity, some academic rigor, and openness are much more important than knowing R, Python, or SQL."

What you'll be doing

  • Develop vertical and client-specific analytics strategies and measurement frameworks; act as a strategic partner to business practice leaders.
  • In consultation with clients and other internal team leads, develop strategic insights that are compelling, actionable, and statistically rigorous, identifying trends and opportunities for clients’ digital initiatives.
  • Consistently support Insights & Analytics, Strategy, and Account leadership in identifying opportunities for expanding existing client relationships across the range of services.
  • Participate in the new business proposals and RFP response development.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor junior data strategists to continually improve quality of work, increase client satisfaction, provide career/professional development.
  • Look for ways to improve processes and link to business performance in order to provide more value to the client.

What you've been able to accomplish

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Research), or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. MBA is a plus.
  • 4+  years of marketing data analysis, statistical, or marketing research experience is required.
  • Deep level of knowldge in digital analytics, would be great, with top social media and digital platforms, as well as with leading earned media and social listening tools (Netbase, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Memo, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Tableau/Power BI or other visualization tools.
