WE Communications is looking for a Vice President who wants to be a part of our thriving technology sector. In the last year, the sector has expanded by winning global retainers of size/scale as well as organic growth with existing clients. The Vice President has the opportunity to join this winning team as a strategic leader of one of our top global anchor accounts at a pivotal moment of its growth.

You love to geek-out on the technical details, use data to inform your strategy, and you have excitement for driving bold, award winning communications campaigns. You have experience working with a large-scale team for a technology account.

 

You are a trusted client advisor who is progressive in strategic counsel, creative ideas for driving business impact and established media relationships to give voice to your client’s story. You have strong presentation skills and know how to bring complex ideas to life. You know how to communicate a brand’s story in a way that shows broader impact both inside and outside the industry.  Collaborating across teams is second nature. You are a strong team leader with a focus on coaching, mentoring and growing talent on a high-performing team, and welcoming diverse experiences and opinions.

 

The Vice President will lead a team that will help shape the transformation of one of the world’s biggest silicon companies and will work remotely until our physical offices reopen.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies across several of the agency’s top NA accounts.
  • Provide strategic counsel for clients and executives within the PR landscape including but not limited to social media, paid media, content marketing, measurement, and SEO.
  • Partners with the SVP to develop and manage cross-platform/cross-channel initiatives responsible for the overall success of our clients’ marketing, communications and business goals.
  • Manage a subset of the P&L to help drive business planning, budgeting and forecasting in conjunction with sector teams while remaining actively involved in aspects of account profitability, health, client service, billing and team success.
  • Collaborate and work closely with our support teams to develop comprehensive measurement and tracking plans to measure performance in order to identify key audience and brand trends.
  • Works to drive new business efforts in partnership with Business Development, Account, Global, I&A and Integrated Services leads to grow the agency’s marketing and communications business.
  • Oversee and manage components of campaign development, implementation, and measurement while ensuring communications and campaign impact is monitored, measured, and adjusted for optimal ROI and successful programs for clients
  • Focus on attraction, development and retention of staff; help lead educational and skills-based training efforts across the assigned office and NA account teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What you've been able to accomplish

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, or similarly applicable field is required; Master’s degree is highly preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of marketing and communications experience required with applicable project/program management experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in leading and management of a diverse team
  • Proven success in establishing relationships, being a high bandwidth communicator, with a track record of excellent collaboration

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Travel: may on occasion need to travel, up to 20%
  • Solid organizational and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Possess exceptional communications skills.
  • Client and business environment, Customer service orientation is a must. Job pressure may exist.
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week
  • Experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations
  • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English
