Who we are looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Account Director to join our outstanding and award-winning Adobe account. You will be highly experienced in the tech space with a deep knowledge of digital campaigns, digital and content strategy, content production, client management, financial acumen, while also owning the day-to-day of the account. You won’t do it alone, with a strong team of 3 direct reports including an Account Director, Account Manager & Account Coordinator as well as our internal Creative and Strategy teams.

No two days are the same, you will be inspired and help inspire others by always staying ahead of the curve, leading cross functional teams in delivering best practice, collaborating with an incredible roster of talented influencers, managing the production of video and creative content to promote flagship Adobe products, ensuring the long-term growth of this amazing client.

The full time, permanent position is primarily located at Level 8/52 Phillip Street, Sydney, with the option of a flexible working environment between the home and office.

What you'll be doing

Job Functions:

  • Lead/own projects that demonstrate strategic planning and creative thinking as well as drive news and launches for events

  • Pursue and coordinate cross-account/practice and global business opportunities

  • Grow, manage, and maintain client relationships with key, senior level media/influencers; proactively engage on issues

  • Solicit and share feedback/perception from media and influencers regarding client(s) competition and position in the industry

  • Lead engagement with executives and support of their individual social media platforms

  • Provide strategic and tactical counsel to executive level clients

  • Establish social media objectives and goals across the account(s)

  • Partner with clients to establish the strategic direction for social media engagements

  • Lead preparation and delivery of organic growth or new business proposal content and in person pitch meetings

  • Contribute to agency strategic planning initiatives

  • Develop, review, and pitch stories/content

  • Develop budget/utilization management and resourcing skills

  • Oversee resource allocation across team including staffing, hiring, and onboarding new talent

  • Manage career development and performance of direct reports, managing up to senior staff on crisis issues, and client/team satisfaction while holding the team accountable to demonstrating agency values

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What you've been able to accomplish

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

 

  • Undergraduate or post graduate studies in communications/marketing or equivalent and / or minimum of five-seven years related industry experience. 

 

Strategic Digital Thinking 

  • Ability to manage the implementation of ongoing pre-agreed activity involved in the basic day-to-day running of accounts. 
  • Expert knowledge of key digital channels (social: Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube etc), (search: SEO and SEM)  
  • Experience in ad campaign financial tracking and campaign budget management (SOW and on-platform advertising) 
  • Solid knowledge across key CRM and CMS platforms (including but not limited to Wordpress, Squarespace, Hubspot etc) 
  • Solid analytical and technical knowledge on the above platforms to advise on strategic direction and mentor junior team members on campaign optimisation. 
  • Strong knowledge of analytical platforms including Google Analytics and on-platform analytics across search, social and CRM platforms. 
  • Strong copywriter to guide content across key accounts 

 

Project and Client Management 

  • Well developed relationship building skills and ability to independently liaise with clients regarding allocated activities, including attendance at client meetings,  provision of timeline and accurate WIP documents and reports etc.. 
  • Pro active – demonstrated ability to automonously drive projects forward and problem solve potential road blocks. 
  • Effective delegation – ensuring the right people are implementing the right task. 
  • Basic negotiation and conflict management skills. 
  • Confident in liaising with suppliers such as production companies 
  • Sound planning, organisational and decision-making skills – ability to juggle many projects/activities at the one time. 
  • Generate new business ideas and assist other WE team members with brainstorms. 

Team Mentorship 

  • Good people management and coaching skills - experience in managing team members 
  • Ability to set achievable timeframes for junior staff and manage outcomes. 
  • Capability to build strong and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS  

 

  • Must possess good oral, editing and writing skills. 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to generate ideas and think creatively. 
  • Ability to supervise multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Highly organised
