What We Need

We are seeking a proactive individual with excellent financial acumen, knowledge of financial statements, desire to understand the PR and Communications industry, and a strong analytical skillset to join our FP&A team. As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you will support both new reporting initiatives and ongoing reporting needs using a variety of tools crossing multiple data sources. You will be responsible for providing detailed reporting of the agency’s revenue and expenses and analyzing team and client profitability.

 

This position can be based out of our Bellevue, WA or Portland, OR office and will work remotely until our physical offices reopen.

What you'll be doing

  • Generate reports, develop and maintain dashboards, prepare data visualizations, and using data to forecast or guide business activity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from finance and account teams across the agency to collect, structure, and validate data, and answer questions regarding reports and data.
  • Drive efficiencies in developing reporting solutions; build automation and additional efficiencies into manual reporting efforts.
  • Conduct research and investigate discrepancies as needed to ensure report accuracy and identify potential issues.
  • Work with IT to create and maintain data models, help with new system implementations.
  • Help develop and build budget and forecast models, templates and analytical tools.
  • Engage in month-end close and reporting cycles.
  • Support the broader finance team on ad-hoc reporting requests and complex queries.

What you've been able to accomplish

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial analyst or reporting analyst role.
  • Proficient in Excel, experience with Power BI is desirable.
  • Exhibits sound business judgement and proved track record of taking ownership. Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High degree of accuracy along with attention to detail.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite required. Strong Excel skills a must.
  • Solid organizational and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Possess exceptional communications skills.
  • Client and business environment -,customer service orientation is a must. 
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion.
  • Experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations.
  • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English.
