This role is responsible for providing oversight in the Healthcare (Health) sector in our Boston location. The SVP will partner with the Health Sector President, other Health Sector leaders and the GM of the Boston office to execute on the strategy and vision in the Boston office, and attract and retain clients and employees alike. This position will help build our reputation in Health locally and nationally and help expand our North America and global client portfolio.


  • Client Leadership/Service (65%)
  • Assume the lead role on existing client business
  • Drive strategic communication planning processes and programs in accordance with client planning processes.
  • Ensure flawless execution of all program elements across multichannel programs that incorporate digital and social media communication
  • Contributing to optimal client satisfaction for a portfolio of world-leading brands.
  • In addition to partnering with senior leaders from other offices in playing a leadership role on key accounts, build and cultivate relationships with local clients
  • People Management (20%)
      • Personnel and team development– education and oversee team on cross agency activity; Mentor and motivate staff with the goal of retention and development
  • Model and hold team accountable to demonstrating agency values
  • Agency Business (15%)
      • Serve on the Health Sector Leadership Team
      • In partnership with account and sector leads contribute to financial and resource management; Oversee account team financial and resource management issues and track team utilization.
  • Support, manage and grow existing business, leading the team through new business pitches and serving as a champion in partnership with Business Development Team.




  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration or Heath Administration is preferred or equivalent applicable experience.
  • 10-12+ years of communications experience, including expertise with technology, consumer & healthcare clients
  • 5+ years of management experience (in an agency environment is preferable).
  • Experience in strengthening employee engagement and morale
  • Developing track record of building deep and broad relationships within the Boston market
  • Evidence of potential with expanding existing accounts and securing new accounts


  • Must be able to work with teams across various geographic locations (virtual team structures) – some travel is required.
  • Fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking, etc.)
  • Open office environment with a growing and diverse team of 12-20 employees (flat structure)
  • Roll your sleeves up, lead-from-the-front style leadership
