Interns at WE are provided professional experience and practice to learn about strategic communications. The agency is committed to providing interns with a valuable experience that will help build a strong foundation for entering the profession. In addition to a structured mentorship program, customized industry and agency training, regular feedback, and networking opportunities, our interns are exposed to a broad variety of projects with multiple teams.


The Insights & Analytics team sits at the intersection of profound change in the communications industry.  Big data, customer centricity, business impact – it’s a tidal wave of challenges and opportunity.  We have a fantastic role to play in the era of modern communications.  At WE, insights and data is at the center of what we do and our team is the heart beat.  We are a driving force to help our clients be customer obsessed and demonstrate the business impact of communications campaigns.  


The program will begin on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 and run through April 27, 2018.






  • Understand the significant role that strategic communications can play toward achieving clients’ business objectives.
  • Learn WE’s unique methods and practices guiding client contact, influential relationships and strategic communications.
  • Stay informed about clients’ industries including their technologies, products, target markets and competitors.
  • Learn about earned, owned and paid media, and the key role data plays in developing effective communication strategies.
  • Refine ability to ask the right questions to understand the business problem and identify the research or measurement objective.
  • Sift through volumes of data to identify critical consumer insights and assist in making strategic recommendations.
  • Develop your written and verbal presentation skills and ability to translate complex data into a compelling story.
  • Work with I&A team to respond to client requests and support assigned projects.
  • Master working with team members in other locations and incorporate videoconferencing technology.







  • Bachelor’s degree or above is required


  • 0-1 years of professional experience - communications, research, or analytics fields are a plus

  • Experience in using data to problem solve, make decisions, and answer business questions
  • Comfort in learning and executing in digital and social analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, NetBase, Brandwatch, Sprinklr or other similar platforms
  • Developed written materials that are organized, professional and concise
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with non-technical audiences
  • Managed multiple projects simultaneously
  • Worked under deadline pressure
