    Do you love working with HR systems and employee data and keeping all the details straight? Same. We are looking for an Associate HRIS Specialist to join the HR team at WE. This role will be Part-Time (24 hours per week) in our snazzy Portland office.

    The Associate Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist will be responsible for all day-to-day data processing and entry of employee lifecycle events (hires, separations, transfers, data and pay changes) utilizing the Workday HR System. The Associate HRIS Specialist will manage employee records; prepare and distribute reports using HRIS/Office technology; and support employees with understanding HR processes and procedures -- while ensuring proper authorizations and data standards are maintained. The role also participates in HRIS-related projects and system upgrades. The HRIS Specialist will be comfortable operating independently, focusing on data integrity and accuracy, have a sense of urgency, and understand working with confidential information.


    Job Functions

    • Input employment-related data into the Workday Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) database in a timely and accurate manner; including hires, status changes, transfers, conversions, promotions or assignment changes, leave information, terminations, and corrections
    • Enter compensation changes and one-time bonus payments
    • Enter career, training, and HR Program participation data
    • Collaborate with our Payroll team to ensure a consistently accurate, timely and transparent flow of employee data
    • Extract data and reports on an ad-hoc and recurring basis, format/manipulate data in Excel, and share with appropriate audiences
    • Maintain employee records/files utilizing DocuSign, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro and uploading/storing files in the Workday system
    • Manage and audit legal data such as I-9’s and Legal Names
    • Perform audits of HR systems data, research answers, and make updates
    • Coordinate with managers of defined term and contract employees regarding continued employment, end dates, or conversions; process the updates in Workday
    • Use a variety of technologies and software programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
    • Learn, interpret, and apply multiple HR processes and procedures
    • Communicate a variety of laws, guidelines, and policies to employees
    • Provide administrative support to ensure customer service and regulatory requirements are met
    • Provide excellent customer service to employees
    • Works independently and takes initiative to identify opportunities to help the team and to identify process improvements.


    Minimum/Preferred Requirements:

    • 2 -3 years’ experience working in Human Resources field preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
    • Experience learning and utilizing Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) required; Workday preferred
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Outlook, Excel and Word) required; Skype proficiency preferred
    • Strong customer service orientation and sense of urgency required
    • Experience accurately entering data and attention to detail are required
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain objectivity and discretion with confidential information required
    • Knowledge of HR processes and employee lifecycle events preferred
    • Experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations preferred
