    Are you equal parts creative and analytical?  Enjoy writing?  Interested in working with one of the largest technology brands in the world?   WE Communications - one of the largest independent integrated communications agencies - is looking for a full time, technology industry Analyst Relations (AR) Senior Account Executive candidate to support Microsoft’s Data and Artificial Intelligence offerings.     This role is focused on Data and Artificial Intelligence - helping to drive market awareness of Microsoft's innovation in B2B technology markets. We are looking for a strong writer, who can convert technical information into interesting insights. You will manage a number of industry reports including Gartner Magic Quadrants and Forrester Waves along with developing relationships with analysts. This is a diverse and high energy role that is ideal for a self-starting candidate who is task orientated and has strong program management skills. It requires a balance of strategic thinking and thoughtful, seamless project execution.  

     

    The WE Communications AR team is a fun, dynamic and creative communications team which is synthesizing traditional Analyst Relations best practices with disruptive digital based storytelling.  Previous AR and/or industry domain experience is strongly preferred but not essential. We are looking for candidates with passion for technology and helping our clients with analyst briefings, inquiries, industry and client events, and more! 

     

    This role will be based out of either our Seattle or Portland offices.

     

     

    Responsibilities

     

    Analyst Relations:

    • Manage relationships with top-tier senior analysts and firms to help influence decisions on broad topics and customer recommendations. Research and understand their interests, needs and preferences in order to provide value-added service to influentials, to brief clients, and to ultimately build relationships.
    • Provide strategic viewpoint to help shape perceptions of top-tier, senior level analysts. Share broader context of client’s business and long-term positioning, and place in the marketplace (vis-à-vis competitors).  
    • Solicit feedback from analysts regarding the clients, competition and industry. Understand and leverage the consulting and inquiry process to bring value to/influence your client’s business.
    • Reactively answer analysts’ questions, coordinate requests for briefings and inquiries, and provide useful information. Add strategic context, offering competitive comparison and long-term corporate positioning.
    • Facilitate analyst meetings, lead tours and/or other analyst events. Keep the flow of the client presentation and discussion on track. Give client useful briefing prior to as well as constructive performance feedback after the meeting. Provide clients trip reports that include analysis of meetings, follow-up strategy and indicators of future coverage.
    • Oversee team’s service to industry influentials.
    • Read key publications and analyst reports daily. Share findings and implications for the business with your client, team or broader agency as appropriate.  

     

     

     

    Qualifications

     

     

     

    Minimum/Preferred Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or a related field is preferred. Or the equivalent knowledge and/or experienc
    • 3-5 years of experience in analyst relations or integrated communications/PR, preferably in an agency setting and/or within an applicable industry.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience with corporate image, issues/crisis management and strategic communications across multiple audience segments.
    • Exceptional analyst relatios or media relations background with demonstrated capacity of working with global business and policy press to manage story development.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel)

    • Increased level of analysis and strategic recommendations based on industry knowledge
    • High level of initiative; takes accountability for role on projects
    • Demonstrated ability to establish strong client relationships
    • Has established editor and/or analyst relationships and has proactively placed stories
    • Client and business environment:  Customer service orientation is a must.  Job pressure may exist from requirement of handling multiple tasks
    • Experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations
    • Fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking, etc.)
    • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English
    • May need to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
