    We are looking for a proven agency leader to join our firm as a senior member of our growing Health Sector. This role will be focused on building a progressive, unique healthcare practice that is differentiated from the competition; and collaborating across sectors in the US and abroad to drive business growth.

    New York is the agency’s second fastest-growing office, and is the anchor for our East Coast operations. It services clients in all three sectors such as Volvo, iRobot, Brother, McDonalds, Honeywell, and CA Technologies. The NY office also will play a pivotal role in accelerating the growth of our Health sector, which represents clients such as Abbott, AbbVie, Amgen, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, BIO, Elsevier, Gilead, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, GN Hearing, Medtronic, Roche, Shire, Tabula Rasa Healthcare, among others.

    This SVP will be a major contributor to the growth of the Health Sector:

    • Business Development 
      • In the beginning, business development will be the primary responsibility, with a focus on building health sector accounts.
      • While the priority is new business for the Health Sector, there is also opportunity to work with the Tech and Consumer sectors, based on the skill set of the candidate.
    • Client Leadership 
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at the senior levels of their organization.
      • Oversee client portfolio that will result from new business efforts; manage the team members working on that business; deliver value to clients.
      • Contribute to optimal client satisfaction.




    • 15+ years of communications experience, including expertise in healthcare. A deep interest to learn about the role of technology in healthcare is required.
    • Proven new business builder in the health sector.
    • Experience in technology and the consumer sectors are highly desired, but not required.
    • 5-8 years of management experience leading a team or office.
    • Prior agency experience is mandatory.
    • High degree of business acumen, experience managing large pieces of business.
    • Strategic thinker that pushes beyond the obvious to land on bespoke insights, strategies and ideas for clients.
    • Understands the importance of social media, digital strategy and integrated channel approaches to communications.
    • Highly networked and respected within the communications industry in the market; proven track record of signing new client accounts and cultivating relationships in the right circles.
    • Talented at influencing and leading people and teams; highly motivated, team builder.
    • Excellent collaboration skills to work in complex environments, across geographies and sectors, as well as part of a virtual team.
    • Flexible leadership style that can adapt well within a wide range of people/situations.
    • Persuasive, diplomatic, kind and respectful approach when working with others and navigating difficult situations.
    • Able to work in a fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking); brings a sense of urgency to the workplace.
    • Comfortable in an open office, roll-up-your sleeves environment of 35-40 employees.
    • Has a strong understanding on the future direction of integrated communications. Is able to communicate this vision to clients, staff and the wider market as appropriate.
    • Active on social platforms and able to use profile for business impact.
    • A willingness to bring fun to the work environment.
    • Experienced with FDA regulations, R&D communications, pre-commercial and on-market product promotion, direct-to-patient and direct-to-physician communications.
    • Corporate reputation and executive visibility experience is highly desired.
    • Therapeutic experience in oncology is a plus.
