  • Overview

    The Client Service Accountant will undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help guarantee the company’s revenues. This role will handle the processing of incoming payments along with the issuing of necessary paperwork. A strong partnership with the PR team is important to the success of this role as you will play the primary contact for client budget tracking and communications. Successful candidates are able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and pivot between activities efficiently.


    Job Functions:

    • Maintain time and billing software ensuring timely and accurate tracking of revenue and job costs, as well as accurate client billing and raising potential issues to manager and account teams

    • Intercompany invoicing, ensuring costs are captured appropriately     

    • Advise account staff on their client’s budget management, continuously educating account staff on business services process and procedures                   

    • Maintain Accounts Receivables/Billing procedures and process manual  

    • Communicate with client’s accounts payable contact and team leads regarding past due invoices, as needed

    • Prepare journal entries to balance accounts, weekly aging and corresponding analyses, and identify potential collection risks.

    • Review and insure accurate revenue recognition for assigned client load

    • Maintain and enhance both internal and external global customer relationships

    • Understand and meet WE guidelines on best business practices involved in client services, including keeping manager informed of what is transpiring with their business on a frequent basis

    • Other job duties as assigned





    Minimum/Preferred Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business preferred will consider candidates with equivalent experience.

    • 3+ years of experience in accounting or business development statistical analysis is preferred

    • Working knowledge of accounting application software such as Microsoft Dynamics.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams)


    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to develop excellent client relationships and build credibility for agency best practices

    • Demonstrated desire and willingness to learn new software applications.

    • Must be able to work with teams across various geographic locations (virtual team structure)

    • Client and business environment:  Customer service orientation is a must.  Job pressure may exist from requirement of handling multiple tasks.

    • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion

    • Strong presentation and communication skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English

    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
