    WE’s Brand Purpose & Reputation team is looking for an Account Director who is excited to advance thought leadership platforms for CEOs and executives of some of the world’s most recognized brands and organizations. You’ll build relationships with worldly, wise clients that demand original thinking. Fresh ideas are fabulous, but you must also know how to build actionable strategies that help reach the right audiences.

    Client Engagement

    • Serve as primary day-to-day contact with clients for both proactive and reactive needs

    • Anticipate client communication challenges and develop proactive recommendations to solve for them

    • Consistently provide strategic and tactical counsel that connects to broader business problems

    • Manage projects and news announcements with little senior supervision

    • Report issues with scope of work to team leads and make recommendations on ways to resolve

    Business acumen & strategic thinking

    • Develop and execute integrated communication plans that require limited input from senior leads

    • Stay ahead of and proactively identify industry trends in order to help our clients continually learn, grow and strengthen their approach

    • Quickly analyze media coverage and other forms of content to clearly identify the “so what?” for clients

    • Speak knowledgably about the general landscape that our clients operate in, from what competitors are doing to how they can best show up in macro/global conversations

    • Coach junior staff and lead by example regarding time management, individual contribution to the team and collaboration with others around the agency

    Digital & social media acumen

    • Oversee account activity and engagements with our creative team, spanning social media, digital and other forms of content

    • Provide fresh thinking for day-to-day social media activity and overarching campaign development

    • Be responsible for consistency of voice/tone among the client’s different social media properties

    • Manage social editorial calendar process

    People leadership

    • Coach and train junior level staff

    • Keep senior staff apprised on day-to-day business and overall account health

    • May assist in interview and new hire process





    Minimum/Preferred Requirements

    • Proven ability to drive and strengthen client relationships

    • Clear, consistent writing that is able to flex style for a variety of client and medium requirements

    • Comfortable engaging with media for both proactive and reactive storytelling

    • Social media know-how, from platform mechanics to identifying which channel can best support overarching communicates goals

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, work in a team environment and meet deadlines


    Additional Requirements:

    • High level of analysis and strategic recommendations based on industry knowledge

    • High level of initiative; take accountability for role on projects

    • Demonstrated creative and strategic mindset

    • Has established editor and/or analyst relationships and has proactively placed stories

    • Made presentations to groups of all sizes; pitched new business

    • Experience developing a team from the ground up

    • Client and business environment:  Customer service orientation is a must.  Job pressure may exist from requirement of handling multiple tasks

    • Experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations

    • Fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking, etc.)

    • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English

    • May need to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion

    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
