    The Business Development (BD) team supports the agency’s practice leaders in the pursuit of attracting and securing new clients. The team is responsible for sourcing leads, doing research, qualifying incoming opportunities, supporting prioritized RFPs/pitches and in managing a suite of sales tracking and reporting tools. The BD team also works closely with their global partners in EMEA and APAC.

    The team currently has an opportunity to join the team as a Business Development Coordinator. This role supports Business Development new business pursuit activities as well as a variety of administrative duties in direct support of Business Development team members and agency priorities to ensure efficient operations and new business wins.

    Responsibilities

    Job Functions:

    • In partnership with the Business Development team, coordinate and maintain logistics for new business pursuits, including but not limited to – meetings, agendas, printing and delivery of materials needed for new business pitches and other non-billable projects. 
    • Responsible for the organization and updating of Business Development core content, collateral and files; pulling up-to-date case studies, bios/headshots and organizing/gathering other information as needed for new business pursuits and information on our organizations experience for RFPs and capability decks.
    • Ensure accurate data is captured in CRM for sales tracking and reporting purposes with a willingness to follow up with users when records are inaccurate and/or out-of-date.
    • Field incoming new business approaches from clients and to manage the follow-up process as appropriate 
    • Assist in new business pursuit related research requests and development of content.
    • Support the Business Development team with administrative tasks to include meeting scheduling, logistics and drafting/sharing meeting recaps, coordinating travel, maintaining calendars and expense reporting.
    • Staying abreast of local company best practices, market and industry trends, and providing competitor research to assist the Business Development Leads
    • Other job duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum/Preferred Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or above in communications, journalism, marketing or  or applicable field is required.
    • 1 – 3 years of agency experience or work in a professional services and agency environment preferred.  Previous experience in business development a plus.
    • A proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization with a confident attitude.
    • Ability to conduct general online research and distill information; strong writing, proofing & editing skills required. 
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel)

    Additional Requirements:

    • Proactive communication and ability to follow detailed directions
    • Clear and strong ability to tailor our skills and experience to client requirements
    • Critical thinking, with the ability to craft copy and design
    • Understanding of all agency technical support devices, video conferencing, etc.
    • Client and business environment:  Customer service orientation is a must.  Job pressure may exist from requirement of handling multiple tasks.
    • Strong customer service orientation, including ability and willingness to pitch in on all aspects of the business process even if outside of assigned role.
    • Strong self-starter spirit; ability to respond to shifting priorities and work under deadline in a fast-paced environment with ease and a sense of humor. Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion Experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations
    • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
