  • Overview

    The Human Resources team is looking for the person who can translate numbers and data into meaningful recommendations and action; who can see the big picture as well as the steps needed to get there. This critical role manages the North American compensation programs and structure that support the company’s pay for performance philosophy and is a partner to the EMEA/APAC human resources team in making sure our programs and philosophies align. The Compensation Manager will be a trusted advisor to business leaders and a strong, collaborative partner with HR and Finance.


    Job Function:

    • Serve as a primary contact to the North America business on compensation programs, providing guidance and expertise on compensation issues and processes
    • Partner with NA and International HR leads to establish compensation best practices globally.
    • Manage compensation planning for North America as well as the annual merit, promotion, and bonus cycles
    • Lead the development, design and implementation of pay programs that include compensation strategy, competitive benchmarking and pay analyses for North America
    • Lead the design and delivery of incentive programs to support the needs of the North America business
    • Manage communications and training to HR, managers and employees on compensation practices
    • Manage the company’s executive and non-executive job leveling process as well as job and salary range structure for North America
    • Leverage external vendors and resources as necessary to deliver results
    • Ensure company compliance with regulations governing compensation practices
    • May participate as project team member/lead on various HR projects
    • A collaborative mindset and strong focus on partnership is mandatory.
    • Manage, mentor, coach and grow team members to align with business delivery needs; work with the HR leadership to identify strategies when deliverables increase.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum/Preferred Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Business, Human Resource Management or other related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
    • MBA and/or CCP preferred
    • Workday experience preferred
    • 8+ years compensation experience including program design, including incentive plans
    • 2+ years people management experience
    • Quick thinker with successful track record operating in a fast-paced, communication-intensive organization (preferably global)
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of management
    • Strong data analysis,  project management, and math skills with attention to detail and production of quality deliverables
    • Results driven: Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously to drive to results
    • Strong initiative: Bring a proactive mindset, develop a point of view based on previous experience and the company’s needs and strategy and then actively pursue solutions to move the company’s programs forward

    • Desire to be an engaged, accessible member of a dynamic office and broader global agency community
    • Client and business environment:  Customer service orientation is a must.  Job pressure may exist from requirement of handling multiple tasks
    • Experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations
    • Fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking, etc.)
    • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English
    • May need to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
