Overview

This position will be responsible for financial processes affecting numerous positions and roles and will have material financial impact throughout the Company. Primary duties will include  coordination of the budget, forecast and reporting. This position requires a strong analytical, organized business thinker who can define and  resolve complex problems with minimal supervision. Creativity and desire to understand the creative communications services  marketplace is important in order to understand the business impacts to the company. This role will consult with all levels of management throughout every division and unit in the company, globally. All information received and produced is of a sensitive and confidential nature so integrity is required.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing at Codeword:

 

  • Review monthly financial summaries (standard reports, variance analysis, performance recaps) and discuss financial highlights with business partners
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting efforts for assigned organizational groups
  • Educate internal partners on the use and interpretation of financial reports, best practices, useful financial techniques and budgeting tools.
  • Lead and prepare analyses that aid in decision making and improving profitability and margins for the company.
  • Utilize data and perform quantitative analysis in evaluating metric performance, operations results, resource usage and variances
  • Review individual and consolidated plans (forecasts) for critical analysis and administrative review with manager
  • With direction from the Director of FP&A, create in-depth, specific and flexible value-added reporting for business leads and senior managers.
  • Responsible for driving the development of pricing and profitability models, contingency planning, process alternatives and variance analysis for assigned organizational groups.
  • Projects encompass application of business and economic assumptions in analysis areas of personnel usage, payroll and fringe benefits, P&L, trending analysis, cost reduction strategies and capital improvements
  • Consult with internal partners to make informed decisions that meet Company business plans and financial targets set by management.

 

Qualifications

What you’ve been able to accomplish:

 

  • BS or BA in Accounting, Finance or Business. MBA strongly preferred.
  • 4 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, budgeting and forecasting.  
  • Heavy emphasis on operational finance and management reporting experience needed. 
  • Customer Service orientation 
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Interaction with global offices
  • Proven ability to translate financial information to a non-financial oriented audience is critical
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven mentor and team developer
