Did you know 95% of Microsoft’s Commercial revenue is driven by partners, either directly or in partnership with Microsoft? We are looking for a Senior Account Executive to join Microsoft’s Commercial’s organization on the Partner team. This team works with Microsoft’s ecosystem of technology and consulting partners, and is responsible for educating the market about the important role this ecosystem plays within the Microsoft business.

The Senior Account Executive will specifically work with Microsoft’s device partners, and manage day-to-day client communications activities and campaigns throughout the year. If you are highly organized, have excellent client instincts, and are eager to do add more integrated communications experience to your repertoire, this is the role for you.


  • Be a key contributor to integrated media/digital/social/broadcast campaigns related to the device partner ecosystem
  • Support partner announcements and launches, including coordination around news releases, blogs, owned content such as blogs and videos, and paid broadcast campaigns
  • Support Microsoft events, including the company’s flagship partner conference, Inspire
  • Provide ongoing tactical recommendations throughout the year to your agency team, as well as clients
  • Conduct media outreach and build relationships with key reporters
  • Serve as day-do-day client contact, working within and supported by a dynamic agency team environment
  • Integrate closely with multiple stakeholders across the client’s business, at WE, and other marketing agencies.
  • Support quarterly reporting, and presents to client stakeholders
  • Other media and communications duties as assigned to support the Commercial team


Minimum/Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or a related field is preferred. Or the equivalent knowledge and/or experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in integrated communications/PR, preferably in an agency setting and/or within an applicable industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with corporate image, issues/crisis management and strategic communications across multiple audience segments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel
  • High level of initiative; takes accountability for role on project
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong client relationships
  • Has established editor and/or analyst relationships and has proactively placed stories and built relationships
  • Client and business environment: Customer service orientation is a must. Job pressure may exist from requirement of handling multiple tasks
  • Experience working with colleagues in multiple locations
  • Fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking, etc.)
  • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English
  • May need to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
