What We Need

Codeword is looking for a Director of I&A who will lead a brilliant group of data analysts and researchers as they inform and inspire the work of strategists, creatives, and our clients. This role manages a major client and account team, and has direct relationships with clients delivering analytics programs. You’ll be part of a growing bi-coastal team and report to the SVP, Executive Strategy Director. 

What you'll be doing at WE

What you’ll be doing at Codeword:

  • Day to Day lead of the Insights & Analytics team ensuring quality of work, planning, staffing, and scoping for various clients engagements.
  • Collaboration with Account, Strategy, Creative, and executive agency leads to develop and deliver relevant insights and research.
  • Inform and influence the work of our strategists with deep qualitative insights, timely and relevant reporting (CRM, web, email, social media, paid media, etc.), testing recommendations, and strategic direction that influences client decisions.
  • Own the development of new business proposals and RFP responses in your practice area and represent the Insights & Analytics practice in new business calls and presentations.
  • Drive team culture in a way that stays true to agency core values.
  • Own training identification (hard and soft skills), and the evolution of our tool stack.
  • Consistently educate internal cross-client teams on industry-leading best practices to further elevate the quality and breadth of the agency offering.
  • Participate in the development of new frameworks, templates, and agency-wide case studies to elevate the practice.
  • In collaboration with agency leadership, participate in and help evolve the practice with a clear vision for a best in class I&A team.


What you've been able to accomplish

What you’ve been able to accomplish:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or similar applicable field is required; Master’s degree in similar field and MBAs are highly preferred.
  • Agency experience is a plus, and successful management consultants are encouraged to apply.
  • 7-10 years of Data Analytics team management experience required.
  • You’ve developed your career with humility, academic rigor, and a general approach in doing what’s best for your clients.
  • A broad skill set inclusive of R and Python, social listening, and cognitive computing are welcome. As are exceptional communication, organizational and project management skills.
  • Proven success in managing teams or multiple accounts preferred, and experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations
  • Ability to lead their team through career and personal development.
  • Flexible, agile, good humored, are all attributes we welcome.
