What We Need

We’re looking for a communications pro for our growing Analyst Relations team that can manage day-to-day client and agency projects in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment. You’ll collaborate on our analyst relations campaigns and play an important role in our Microsoft client’s company launches, news moments and initiatives. Collaboration is key because you’ll partner with our clients to drive brand recognition and relevance on a global scale. 

 

So, what does that really mean? If you read any Wall Street Journal story on business technology, you’ll often find quotes from analysts who are experts on what customers need most to transform their businesses for the years ahead. The Microsoft Analyst Relations team works closely with that community, acting as a resource to them by providing accurate, up-to-date information they can use as they write research and talk to their clients.

 

The Senior Account Executive position is based out of WE Communication’s west coast offices and will work remotely until our physical offices reopen.

What you'll be doing at WE

  • Partnering with clients to drive industry analyst research across traditional and boutique firms by responding to and facilitating the research process.
  • Developing relationships and working with industry analysts focused on cloud, data and AI.
  • Collaborating with agency team and clients on plans for events, instrumented research and more.
  • Scheduling inquiries and consults between analysts and clients.
  • Monitoring analyst coverage, providing analysis and reporting on metrics.

 

What you've been able to accomplish

  • Achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Library Sciences or a related field is preferred. Or the equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
  • In a 3-5 year span, have developed your integrated communications experience, preferably in an agency setting and/or within an applicable industry.
  • Established an exceptional influencer relations background with a demonstrated capacity of working with them to shape their perception of your client’s product.
  • Through daily use, developed high proficiencies with the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel).

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Increased level of analysis and strategic recommendations based on industry knowledge
  • High level of initiative; takes accountability for role on projects
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong client relationships
  • Has established editor and/or analyst relationships and has proactively placed stories
  • Client and business environment:  Customer service orientation is a must.  Job pressure may exist from requirement of handling multiple tasks
  • Experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations
  • Fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking, etc.)
  • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English
  • May need to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
