What We Need

The Associate Director, Project Management (ADPM) is responsible for building the delivery foundation that allows our teams to produce successful work to our clients. The ADPM has a full left-to-right view across programs that range from $1-$3M. They have the ability to work across account, creative and strategy teams, fielding and executing daily requests to managing or overseeing concurrent projects. The ADPM is responsible for gathering client requirements, developing scopes, building project plans and sourcing execution teams. They are responsible for driving the team to meet project milestones, they look head to mitigate potential issues, and find ways to optimize delivery processes along the way. They embrace new challenges with curiosity and thoughtfulness, asking questions to create solutions and plans that provide clarity and a way forward to excellence.

Job Functions

  • Facilitates collaboration amongst team leads to build an environment that allows our organization to do excellent work and have a great experience while doing it
  • Gains understanding of our lines of business and types of work to assess, prioritize and assign appropriately
  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships and trust across the agency to increase adoption of our process and awareness of our offerings
  • Responsible for ensuring the correct interaction between disciplines across the agency at key points in time, understand what disciplines are needed for any project type or activity
  • Manages and evaluates complex program budgets, making recommendations for optimizations and discovering efficiencies
  • Establishes protocols for key escalations that impact budget, timing, quality and relationships
  • Ensures the team is working consistently and understands their project and organizational priorities
  • Directly manages/mentors project management team members, helping to define career goals and provide proper escalation support
  • Manages and tracks many concurrent projects and tasks within a program from intake to completion
  •  Manages projects with a varying level of complexity as needed
  • Implements quality control processes that ensures flawless delivery output
  • Provides detailed documentation of project status, backlog requests, financial health and pipeline opportunities
  • Leverages project management software such as Jira, Planner, and Wrike to execute projects. Ability to onboard and train cross-functional teams to adopt and use tools.
  • Effectively prioritizes and manages operational processes and initiatives, considering trade-offs or scope amendments
  • Responsible for project estimation, planning and profitability
  • Collaborate with Delivery leads for resourcing and team assignments



What you've been able to accomplish


Minimum/Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or applicable field experience is preferred
  • 5 to 10 years in a creative or digital marketing agency
  • 3-5 years of program management experience leading and managing a project management team of varying levels
  • Advanced proficiency in project management software (Jira, Planner or Wrike preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required
  • Extensive knowledge of project management operational methodologies (agile, waterfall and hybrid)
  • Scrum, PMP and PMI-ACP Certification preferred

  • Expand awareness and increase value of project management across the agency
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, problem solve and prioritize under pressure
  • Can identify issues before they arise and provide guidance for solutions to drive action, innovation and teamwork
  • Self-starter with initiative to enhance and improve the work the team does and how we do work
  • Practices a positive, solution-based “yes, and” communication style to foster effective and positive cross-agency collaboration and boost the reputation of the Digital and Experience Technology team
  • Transparent, curious, honest with a desire to always learn
