What We Need

This role is responsible for providing senior-level program support and guidance in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion space. The Senior Manager, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will report to the Executive Vice President, Head of DEI, and help develop and execute key programming and initiatives as part of WE’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and vision. An integral part of this role is working cross-functionally with HR, Employee Resource Groups, and Learning and Development, to create opportunities, solve problems and identify improvements that will help WE attract, retain, develop and promote diverse talent across the agency and foster a culture of belonging.

What you'll be doing at WE

  • Support the overall growth and integration of DEI at WE; partner with Head of DEI to build and launch company-wide DEI strategies to accelerate progress.
  • Manage internal DEI stakeholder engagement and internal communications related to new programs, changes to policies, processes, or organizational practices in partnership with HR.
  • In alignment with Head of DEI, design and build DEI programs and initiatives, define metrics, track outcomes, and share results to assess the effectiveness of these efforts in achieving business goals.
  • Deliver and program manage innovative DEI programs and initiatives that reflect the wide range of intersectional facets of DEI, for a broad range of people to ensure relevance to our employee base.
  • Oversee DEI reporting on corporate DEI goals.
  • Manage cross-functional, distributed teams to deliver on DEI team sponsored programs and priorities.
  • Act as a DEI subject matter expert by contributing perspective, insights, and knowledge, and taking a balanced consultative and systemic approach to enable the organization to capitalize on DEI through strategic and tactical/operational execution.
  • Maintain and share knowledge about diversity-related issues, research and best practices; partner with internal stakeholders to evolve programs to reflect external context.  
  • Identify, develop, and foster relationships with DEI thought leaders, consultants, peers, vendors, and other external partners.
  • Manage external partners and consultant relationships to ensure value creation and achievement of business outcomes.
  • Create and work to enhance DEI accountability through collaboration and enhancing people practices with leaders and functional leads, partners.



What you've been able to accomplish

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience as a program or change manager in Diversity and Inclusion – in a consultancy and/or corporate environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing a team
  • Experience identifying and understanding societal and cultural norms.
  • A systemic change agent with a deep understanding of change management processes, experience driving change in an organization, and the ability to show how they have influenced organizations to think in different and new ways.
  • Strong collaborator and influencer; ability to reach beyond immediate scope to influence and lead change initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Agility and ability to navigate ambiguous situations.
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion workforce, workplace, and marketplace enablers.
  • Strong strategic thinking balanced with a willingness to execute programs and solve problems to drive impact and results.
  • Highly collaborative, diplomatic, ability to influence others without authority
  • Experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Significant success leading and inspiring people of all levels.
