What We Need

The I&A Director will be responsible for co-owning communication and implementation of the organization’s business strategy with an assigned team and participates in and communicates the execution of the business plan. This role owns a major client and account team strategy along with relationships and satisfaction for the client’s analytics programs.

What you'll be doing at WE

Job Functions:

  • Trusted Advisor: Business and project lead for client(s) across the agency. Build relationships with WE account teams and help create growth opportunities. You would lead end-to-end insights and/or measurement efforts for key clients, inclusive of scoping, approach & methodology development, measurement & reporting, and learnings & insights.
  • Data Storytelling: Turn data and analytics into a story both narrative and visual that surfaces insights and actions in a way that speaks to communications professionals and executives. 
  • Integrated Communications Analytics: Deliver high quality, integrated communications analytics to illuminate actionable insights for communications, marketing and social media campaigns aligned to a client’s business goals and objectives. You are a partner to both internal stakeholders and clients to develop the data strategy to fuel storytelling
  • Data Analytics & Research: Understand the power and depth of data research, how it can inform current market trends, emerging topics or competitors and discover impactful influencers that can help account teams and clients tell a story.
  • Project management: You will lead small to large projects and will need to run them effectively, on time and on budget in partnership with account teams, I&A colleagues, and colleagues in cross functional teams

 

What you've been able to accomplish

 

Minimum/Preferred Requirements:

  • Have knowledge and experience in discovering insights and defining data strategy for research and analysis projects.
  • Have knowledge and experience in tech-industry issues, including a robust combination of: privacy & security issues, cloud computing, digital transformation, device and software usage, future-of-work, software as service, and more.
  • Experience across a variety of communications, marketing and social media technology, tools, platforms with deep knowledge of how to use them, what’s possible and how to apply data, tools and technology to uncover the insight and intelligence quickly. Please list tools you are familiar with on your resume.
  • You’re not only familiar with what comms/marketing tools can do, but you also understand what they can’t do, and so have an eye for finding new/improved ways to measure and gain insight.
  • Advanced presentation and communications skills. The ability to have credibility in a room filled with clients and agency partners who may or may not have experience with the ins and outs of research and analytics. The ability to synthesize research and data that tells an accurate and compelling story.
  • Bachelors Degree in Communications, Marketing, Finance, or field of Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science.
  • 6 – 8 years of qualitative & quantitative blended analysis for communications or marketing firm is required.
  • 6+ years of experience working with stakeholders or clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in the following types of research projects – brand reputation, executive platforms, audience development, thought leadership, influencer identification, crisis management and measurement and optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative research in the following areas – industry, competitive audience and influencer analysis.
  • People management and development experience
  • Proven success in leading and managing small to large projects

  • Self-motivated and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines in order to manage creative capacity.
  • Possess exceptional communications skills.
  • Client and business environment:  Customer service orientation is a must.  Job pressure may exist from requirement of handling multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion
  • Experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations
  • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
